|DRV||Dietary Reference Values, the UK’s Department of Health’s nutritional intake recommendations. The United Kingdom Department of Health published the Dietary Reference Values for Food Energy and Nutrients for the United Kingdom. This records Dietary Reference Values (DRV) which recommended nutritional intakes for the UK population|
|kcal||kilocalorie (1,000 calories), a unit of energy|
|PAL||Physical activity level, a way of expressing a person’s daily physical activity|
|WAVA||WAVA Rating (this used to mean World Association of Veteran Athletes – the governing body for veteran athletes, but they call themselves World Masters Athletics now). WAVA is the method used to measure your % score for a performances, based on the world record at a particular distance for a particular age, is a a potentially good way of seeing “where you are” compared with other runners of different ages or for comparing your current times with previous performances set at a younger age.|
